Because her family worked there, Riona lived in the United States before her debut. She debuted in April 1993 with the drama "Oka no Ue no Himawari". From there she continued to act in film in addition to drama, and became a singer for a short time.

Hazuki Riona is a Japanese actress, former singer, and former gravure idol. She is infamous in Japan for being known as the "devil woman".
After meeting actor Sanada Hiroyuki on the set of the film "Sharaku" and having an affair with him, she became the center of attraction for many variety programs and earned the reputation of "mashou no onna" (devil woman). Although they got married, the two divorced in 1997. After a short marriage with a Hawaiian sushi chef and living in the United States, she divorced the chef and returned to Japan to resume her acting. Riona also made the news for releasing a nude photobook in this same year. In 2004 she changed the last character of her stage name (but the pronunciation is the same still). February of the same year she had been rumored to be dating a new man, and in November 2004 she gave birth to a daughter.
Hazuki Riona began acting again full-time after 2006.
